ORI BEN ZVI

About

Ori Ben-Zvi

Hi, I'm Ori Ben-Zvi, an Israeli industrial designer (M.A.) and founder of Studio Ubico. Since 2008, I've been transforming salvaged wood and industrial waste into furniture that bridges functionality and environmental consciousness—work that feels increasingly urgent in our current state of extremes.

My work has been exhibited internationally, from Milan to Taipei Design Week, earning recognition including the grand award at the 2012 Singapore Design Awards.

My recent solo exhibition "If a Tree Falls in the Desert" led me to a national research project on Israel's timber industry and lumber, forming the foundation of a book I'm currently writing. I also teach as a Senior Lecturer at the Holon Institute of Technology, where I explore design's role in addressing our ecological and social challenges.
