Salvadrawer

Salvadrawer explores what happens when we extravert the inherently introverted drawer. Drawers are shy by nature, designed to hide things from view, storing them until needed. Shelves, by contrast, are stages for display, showcasing what we want to be seen.

This piece marked a new understanding that was later explored in other projects : working with salvaged furniture and parts, offered far more than just efficiency. By incorporating existing drawers and cabinets, I wasn't simply repurposing materials—I was expanding my design vocabulary. Each found element brought its own history, patina, and character into the new work, creating a visual dialogue between past and present that wouldn't exist with new materials alone.
